Australian Apprenticeships - What Are They?
"Australian Apprenticeships" is the term used for all government apprentice and traineeship programmes. The Australian Apprenticeships System is a flexible employment arrangement which includes a formal contract of training agreement that provides structured training. Training can be on or off-the-job or a combination of both.
Training packages are developed by the industry and are formally accredited and nationally recognised. On successful completion of the Australian Apprenticeship the Australian Apprentice/trainee receives a qualification certificate that is recognised throughout the industry, and Australia.
